Tribute to Veterans
Today, I want to give honor to the men and women who have survived the trauma of military service. Many Veterans have been able to adjust to the incredible pain, suffering and grief they have witnessed and live well adjusted contributing lives. Yet, too many Vets have returned from service without an ability to face their losses. They struggle with PTSD, anxiety, and other emotional interruptions for living abundantly. Many deal with physical handicaps resulting directly from the violence of war. Being a Veteran is something that they alone understand. They feel how it sets them apart from the rest of civilian population. On this Veteran’s Day, I want to give you my honor and tribute. Thank you for the work you did. It matters not what political opinions I may carry. Not only on Veteran’s Day, but every day, it is all about what another human being has suffered, endured, lived through and yet still lives. If there is a Veteran who is questioning his/her reason to keep living because you are carrying a difficult load of war consequences, please be encouraged to keep living. You gave so much of yourself. Don’t take any more away. You are worth fighting for now!
